CO 2 Analyze and evaluate the various aspects and concepts of innovation and creativity.

feasibility of a business plan and learn securing          and          managing financial resources in organizations.

CO 4Distinguish and analyze various

mechanisms to build a successful

business plan.

CO 5 Analyze and evaluate the

framework of various types of Product protection.

CO 6 Examine and identify the relevance of Government of India Schemes for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurship: Definition, features, concepts, nature, functions and significance. Entrepreneur: Concept, characteristics, types, functions, role and significance, specific traits of Entrepreneur, Entrepreneur vs. Manager.

Innovation:                                                                                                       

Definition, Principles of Innovation, classification, Product, Process, Organizational and Marketing innovation and their role in business development, Sources of innovation (push, pull, analogies), Innovation Process: Idea Generation, Advocacy & Screening, Experimentation, Commercialisation, Diffusion & Implementation.

Creativity:

Definition, Barriers to creativity, Creative process, Techniques for improving creative process.

Feasibility Analysis                                                                                     

Concept, Industry & Market Feasibility Analysis, Product or Service Feasibility Analysis, Financial Feasibility Analysis, Entrepreneur Feasibility Analysis, Elements of Developing and testing the business model.

Sources of finance:

Institutional finance to entrepreneurs.

Building a Business Plan:                                                                 

Definition of Business Plan, Benefits of creating a Business Plan, Elements of Business Plan, Building a Business Plan, The Pitch: Making the Business Plan Presentation.

Forms of Business Ownership

Intellectual Property rights, Patents, Types of patents, The patent process, Trademarks, Copyrights.

Government of India Schemes for Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Startup India, Make in India, Atal Innovation Mission(AIM), Jan Dhan- Aadhaar- Mobile (JAM), Digital India, National Skill Development Mission.

*Case studies related to entire topics are to be taught.
