Objective of the Programme: The visit aimed to foster a deeper connection with the community, identify their needs, and implement activities that contribute to their well-being and development.e
Summary/Description: Students of the department of management were involved in several community engagement activities in the village visit which are as follows:
1: Skill development-Sinjaracelebration ,Mehndi-Students interacted with village women and tried to understand their problems.Sinjara was celebrated with mehandi(heena) activity as a form of cultural expression Students and village women both exchange their views regarding teej celebration .
2: Breast Cancer Awareness Campign -An awareness campign was organized in collaboration with I Sanjeevani Life Beyond Cancer NGO. The session was session conducted by MsArchitaVerma, Senior Programme Coordinator at Sanjeevani Life Beyond Cancer. She covered a comprehensive range of topics including what is cancer, how cancer cell develops, how to prevent and the ways of treatment of cancer. Further she talked about the importance of meditation. She encouraged everyone to engage in meditation and breathing exercises, which can help reduce stress and improve overall wellbeing. Lastly, she stressed the significance of our thinking patterns.
3: Eye flu care awareness-Students did awareness campaign through slogans and ineractive session in government school,neota regarding prevention from eye flue and the care to be taken during eye flue.
4: Meri Mati meradesh - PanchPran pledge-Students of IISU and students of Government School ,Neota took pledge .
5: Tree Plantation -Sapling plantation was done in nearby area of panchayat samiti and school as a part of environmental sustainability efforts.
6: Teaching aid donation-These aids were donated to government school,neota .
7: Awareness regarding SHG-Women of the village were made aware about the importance of SHG and were motivated to participate in it.
8. Note Book distribution -It was done in government school ,neota.
Outcome of the activity/session: The visit to Village Neota for community engagement activities yielded positive outcomes, fostering a sense of empowerment and collaboration within the community. By addressing immediate needs and laying the groundwork for future initiatives, the visit represents a meaningful step toward sustainable community development.
