OBJECTIVE:

  • To inspire us to convert any of our old items into new ones.
  • To provide healthy and inspiring environment to poor children and undergoing cancer treatment.

Description of the activity:

This is an activity organized to inspire us how to make an upcycled item. Use of old items in an effective way without throwing them away as wastes. The ideas behind the initiatives are to make people reduce the waste and thereby reduce landfills. We have to make 5 upcycled items as a deliverable which will have 3 stages namely: Pre-Preparation then making and then maintenance. Upcycled items can be like a bucket to flower pot, box, and picture frame to key hanger and so on are the list available to us to make new products. Upcycling is a hobby that we can master with time.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Think twice before throwing anything.
  • This is a chance to get creative, express ourselves and make something that cannot be bought anywhere.
  • We may not get it right every time but we should learn from our mistakes and keep trying.
