• Objective of the activity:
• To get an introduction about the subject ‘Community Engagement Services’
• To get an orientation session by Dr. Prerana Arora Singh Mam to know about Peoples Trust Jaipur
• To know about the Road Safety, Life Safety and the rights and duties of passengers on the road.

Summary/Description: An orientation session was conducted in the university premises by Dr. Prerana Arora Singh and Mr. Raj Narayan Singh on the issues of Road accidents, Road safety and safety measures to be taken while travelling on roads. She introduced herself and told about the work done by   her NGO – Peoples Trust Jaipur.  She told us about the increasing number of accidents and deaths on roads. She told us her story as she is also a crash survivor. She taught us the road safety measures to be taken while driving on roads like wearing helmets and safety belts. She explained the concept of over speeding and the role of kinetic energy in causing massive accidents. Mr. Raj Narayan Singh continued the session with knowledge about road safety and various initiatives taken by both of them in order to solve this serious issue.

Outcome of the workshop/seminar/activity:          Students should always follow traffic rules as our life is equally important as like others lives travelling on roads and also take all safety measures like driving within the permitted speed limit, wearing helmets and seat belts, help victims of road accidents and be a ‘Good Samaritan’.
