Objective of the    Program

To orient the students regarding the PG program, their curriculum, and to provide knowledge to them regarding various departments categorized under PG program

Summary/Description

The orientation session began with lamp lightening and prayer with welcome speech by (Chancellor) Dr. Ashok Gupta and (Vice Chancellor) Prof. T.N Mathur. Prof. Shilpi Rijhwani introduced the students to the university’s establishment, its core values, missions and visions with the very pictorial and descriptive presentation. Then Dr. Nisha Yadav (Controller of Examination) introduced the examination and grading patterns with the detailed description about C.A and Sem end passing and grading system. Dr. Sonal Jain (Controller of Library) introduced all the library services provided by the college, From the library timings to the different section of library along with E- Library (Delnet, ISIM, access to Proquest, Prowess, IIERD, IISU Digital Library, NDLI Club). Dr. Vaishali Gupta (Soft skill trainer) started with some energy bringing activities, exercises and Kohoot Game. Session ended with Dr. Khushboo Bhardwaj (Training and Placement Officer) explained about the internship and placements procedure.

At the end of the session the refreshments were also provided to the students. Then there was a campus visit which helps the students to get a better understanding about the types of departments the University have.

 

Outcome of the session

The students got a holistic view of the core of the PG program and various activities being organized in which they could get engaged and groom themselves to have a competitive edge when entering into the corporate world. The students also enjoyed the fun activities undertaken with the moral value hidden with each activity
