GUEST LECTURE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES AFTER MBA/PGDM/PGDM-IB

The IIS University always provides us an opportunity to broaden up our minds and make us think beyond the box one such seminar on career opportunities after MBA in international business. The Department of HRM & IB conducted a guest lecture on the topic Career Opportunities after MBA/PGDM/PGDM-IB on 15 September 2017. The faculty coordinator for the guest lecture was Ms. Nivedita Singh. The key note speaker for the session was Mr. Sambandh Singh Chauhan. He is a professional manager with 16 years of experience in supply chain management, Port, Infrastructure, shipping and ocean transport industry with a diverse expertise in international business development, marketing and sales management. He has a unique blend of management experience, and understanding of processes along with a overview of business realities and grip over system design along with a eye for real need for solution. He also has a degree in international business, subsequently augmented with a post graduation degree in commerce.

The lecture began with the welcome address given by Dolly Jain The whole session was taken by Mr. Sambandh Singh Chauhan.  He welcomed the esteemed gathering and emphasized on the importance of IB, why students should opt IB course, benefits of IB course and suitable job fields for MIB students. In his address, he also introduced various terms related with IB like letter of credit, bill of entry, type of ports, and export documentation procedure. Furthermore, he appreciated the audience with his energetic performances.

The audience raised several queries during the seminar and which were answered questions satisfactorily. The seminar was successfully concluded with a formal vote of thanks to all the chief guest by Dr. Roopan Kothari, Head of Department and Ms. Nivedita Singh.
