On completion of this course, the students will be able to;

CO 1. Analyze and evaluate the importance of managing human resources professionally in view of the constantly changing aspirations of individuals internationally.

CO 2. Distinguish and evaluate the foundations of managing human resources in various international organization structures.

CO 3. Analyse and evaluate the contemporary environmental influences and challenges in IHRM.

CO 4. Examine and evaluate the issues faced by organization in staff selection at global level followed by various aspects of expatriate adjustment, repatriation and inpatriation.

CO 5. Analyse various aspects pf Training to International Employees and distinguish various Framework’s For Cross Culture Training.

CO 6. Examine and analyze various issues in Managing performance in the International context.

Challenges   of         IHRM: Managing          Workforce         diversity,         Organizational Restructuring and Downsizing, Legal and Ethical aspects of International HRM.

Concept, Selection Criteria, Issues in Staff selection.

Expatriate- Concept, Phases of Expatriate Adjustment, Challenges of expatriate

failure;  Repatriation-  Concept,   Repatriation  Process   and            Challenges;

Employees- Cross Cultural, Pre-Departure, Language. Types of Global Assignments, Framework for Cross Culture Training- Tung’s Framework, Mendenhall and Oddou’s, Black and Mendenhall’s.

Concept, Objectives, Key Components of International  Compensation,  Approaches  of  International  Compensation,Variables Influencing Compensation.

International Performance Management: Meaning, Expatriate Performance Management, Steps in International Performance management, Issues in Managing performance in the international context.
